ABA therapy in Singapore, led by a doctoral-level BCBA

Choosing an ABA provider is hard. Most centres describe themselves in similar language, and the differences that genuinely matter are difficult to see from the outside.

So here is how we work, and some things worth understanding as you look around. We hope it is useful whichever centre you choose.

What to ask before choosing an ABA provider

ABA providers vary quite a bit, and most of that variation is hard to see from a website. These are five things we think are worth understanding, whoever you speak to.

01

Who designs and supervises the programme?

Look for a BCBA, and ask how often they actually observe your child rather than reviewing notes.

02

How is progress measured?

Ask to see what the data looks like, and how often it is reviewed with you.

03

Where does therapy happen?

Centre, school and home each suit different goals, and the best answer is often a combination.

04

Is my child meant to need you forever?

Timelines are genuinely hard to predict at the start. What is fair to ask is whether reducing support is the goal, and how progress towards it will be tracked.

05

Are aversive procedures ever used?

It is a fair thing to ask anyone, and worth hearing a clear answer to. Ours is no.

Where we stand on each

A BCBA supervises every programme, and our clinical team is led by Dr. Dominic Leong, Southeast Asia’s only practicing BCBA-D. We take data every session and go through it with you regularly. We work at our centre, in schools and at home. We build towards your child needing us less, without pretending to know the timeline on day one. And we never use aversive procedures.

Centre, school and home

Support where the behaviour shows up

A child who melts down at pick-up, cannot settle in class, or refuses dinner is telling you where the work needs to happen. Skills learned in a therapy room do not automatically travel to the places that are hard.

So we go to where the difficulty actually is.

Where

What it looks like

Best for

At our centre

The Yards, a secure gated former primary school with indoor and outdoor space.

Focused early skill-building, group work, messy play and time outdoors.

In school

Push-in and pull-out support inside the classroom, alongside your child’s teachers.

Transitions, participation, peer play, and behaviour that only appears at school.

At home

Sessions in your own space, with you involved throughout.

Routines, mealtimes, bedtime, siblings, and everything that happens after we leave.

What ABA Actually Looks Like Here

Through our 1-1 sessions with children, we aim to

Real Reasons to Communicate

We build moments that make your child want to communicate, whether that is asking for a toy, sharing excitement, or saying something is wrong. Motivation first, then the words.

Frustration Becomes Expression

When a child cannot express themselves, it comes out as behaviour. We teach practical ways to ask for help, take a break, or get attention, which reduces meltdowns at source.

Connection With Other Children

Looking, listening, sharing attention, taking turns. The building blocks of friendship, practised with peers rather than only across a table with an adult.

Learning Through Play, Not Drills

We work out what genuinely motivates your child and teach through play, routines and daily activities rather than repetitive drills.

Why Trust Us with Your Child

Board-Certified Supervision on Every Programme

Every programme here is written and reviewed by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, not delegated and checked at intervals. Our clinical team is led by Dr. Dominic Leong, PhD, the only practicing BCBA-D in Southeast Asia.

Zero Aversive Methods

We never use aversive procedures. We work on behaviour when it is getting in your child’s way, not simply because it is difficult to be around, and every goal is agreed with you.

Data You Can Actually Read

We track every session and go through progress with you regularly, in plain language rather than jargon.

We Aim to Step Back

Needing us less is the point. We build towards it and tell you honestly how it is going, rather than promising a timeline we cannot know at the start.
