Outcomes of this screening process
FAQs
The detailed screening and consultation typically consists of three parts.
Parents are always an important part of the process. At the start, we meet with parents to gather input and clarify goals.
During the screening and consultation, some areas may involve parents observing or joining the activities. In other areas, the therapist may work directly with the child to gain an accurate picture of their independent abilities. We will guide you on what will be most helpful for your child.
The cost of the screening and consultation is $300 for a 2-hour session, which includes a signed clinical summary report.
It is helpful to bring along any relevant reports or documents, such as medical or developmental reports, previous therapy notes, school feedback, or individualised education plans (IEPs).
If these are not available, do not worry. Our team will guide you on the process and collect the information through parent interviews.
Contingent on availability, we will do our best to arrange for a slot as soon as possible. For urgent cases, we will try to accommodate earlier requests wherever we can.
Please note that our detailed screening & consultation is not a formal diagnosis. While our clinicians are formally trained and certified in leading diagnoses tools (including ADOS-2), Singapore only permits psychiatrists and psychologists to issue formal diagnoses.
However, our expertise ensures that parents receive meaningful and quick early guidance. If a parent is interested in a formal diagnosis after our screening, we work with leading psychologists and psychiatrists to offer formal tests and diagnoses.
We’ll reach out within 2 working days to arrange the screening for your child.
